FINISHED PLANT CHARACTERISTICS: Visions of Grandeur is an easy poinsettia to grow and is adaptable to a wide range of growing conditions. The flower initiation date is similar to other poinsettia cultivars. It is recommended for larger containers but can be grown in 6” containers with multiple growth regulator applications. Due to its vigor, multiple chemical growth regulator applications in all pot sizes are required. Visions of Grandeur is responsive to A-Rest®, Bonzi®, Cycocel®, Sumagic® or combinations of B-Nine® and Cycocel®. For more information about growth regulating click here: Chemical Growth Regulators. This cultivar is resistant to epinasty.

CULTIVAR NOTES:

• Maintain even soil moisture levels and avoid high soluble salts throughout production that might contribute to bract damage.

• Visions of Grandeur™ is a very vigorous plant and in the finished form the blossoms can be very heavy. It is especially important to build a good architecture by providing adequate light levels, good fertilizer levels, and appropriate use of growth regulators throughout production.
• This plant will also benefit from staking or use of plant rings for support.
• Medium green leafed cultivars require approximately 20% more fertilizer than dark leafed cultivars. For an appropriate fertility program click here:

• Growth regulators will help minimize stretch between internodes and reduce leaf size.

• Bract color intensifies with maturity. Bracts will form ivory but mature peach.
